Founded in 2017, k-apostrophe is the studio founded by artist and textile designer K’era Morgan. Located in Los Angeles, the brand has grown from a collection of 8 woven throw blankets derived from an archive of K’era’s original paintings into a thriving creative business with a growing collection of woven home textile goods sold in boutiques across North America as well as the home-base for the founder’s regular fine art painting practice. At this time, k-apostrophe is seeking out talented, ambitious and reliable individuals to come on board to support it’s exciting growth.

Studio Assistant: no longer accepting applications

The studio assistant is a part-time position that works directly with K’era Morgan and touches every facet of the business. This person will be a jack-of-all trades and have an interest in learning about building and growing a creative business from the ground up. You’ll be responsible for juggling multiple tasks from order fulfillment and customer service related responsibilities to creative and studio admin tasks. If you think of yourself as a highly organized individual, a self-starter and detail-oriented who also has a love for art and design then, k-apostrophe wants to hear from you.

The Details - These are regular day-to-day duties

  • Picking, packing and shipping out purchase orders with an extreme amount of TLC

  • Tracking and receiving inventory of all goods and managing new inventory orders with manufacturing partners

  • Light clerical and admin tasks that include scheduling meetings, ordering supplies (studio + packaging), picking-up/delivering materials/packages/goods

  • Researching new suppliers and materials for special projects, commissions and new product development

  • Assisting in coordinating photoshoots for new product launches as needed

  • Light creative work - website updates, scanning/archiving work, formatting digital artwork files

What You’ll Bring to the Table

  • Flexibility and willingness to roll your sleeves up and wear multiple hats - no-job-or-project-is-too-small attitude

  • Great verbal and written skills with a customer service oriented perspective

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite and Google Docs, SquareSpace knowledge is a plus - You’ll have your own laptop

  • Your own car and valid CDL - you will have to run errands and a reliable vehicle with space to hold boxes is key

  • Canvas stretching experience is an added bonus

Physical Demands

  • Lifting boxes up to 30lbs

  • Transporting merchandise and supplies
